UK Tax Return Documentation
An employer has a duty to provide the employee with a summary of the taxable
relocation benefits received. Phoenix ARC can provide this on the organisation’s
behalf.
Off Balance Sheet Financing
The specialist and capital intensive nature of relocation management means
that relatively few companies are able to fully manage all the major elements
of a relocation service, particularly off balance sheet financing for group
moves which may require several millions for each group relocation. Phoenix
ARC are able to offer this facility.
Employment Law and Relocation
Phoenix ARC advises on two primary issues as regards employment law and relocation:
- The legality of any relocation clauses in a contract of employment
- The respective contractual rights of employer and employee during the relocation
(especially important if an employee leaves employment having received the
benefit of relocation assistance)
Consultation with Unions
Phoenix ARC is very experienced at understanding the pertinent issues of relocation
and related matters (including, for the relocation of government departments,
the Whitney Council guidelines) and being able to present and negotiate them
with recognised labour organisations.
Employee Surveys
Phoenix ARC can undertake surveys on an organisation’s behalf to assess
employees’ attitudes to relocation, highlight concerns or to profile the
demographic composition of the workforce as part of the process of designing
a relocation policy.
Counselling Services
Apart from handling all the practical aspects of relocation, Phoenix ARC also
offers expert and sympathetic counselling for individuals or groups of employees
that can cover everything from the home move itself and the effects on the family
to useful and relevant information about the new location.
Panel Suppliers
Phoenix ARC maintains a panel of trusted suppliers such as solicitors, surveyors,
estate agents and removal companies with whom we have worked for many years.
The services of such suppliers can be made available to employees who do not
have the benefit of formal relocation assistance from their employer. This will
reduce the direct costs of moving and provide employees with access to professionals
who have a thorough understanding of relocation needs.
